Version
The short version
MailJollof is for email to people who asked to hear from you. If someone did not sign up, buy from you, or give you their address for this purpose, do not send to them from MailJollof.
Who you can email
- People who joined your list through a form, checkout or sign-up you run.
- Customers who bought from you and were told they would hear from you.
- People who gave you their address in person and agreed to receive your email.
What is not allowed
- Cold outreach. Unsolicited email to people who never opted in, including sales prospecting and “just reaching out” campaigns.
- Bought, rented, scraped or shared lists. Addresses you did not collect yourself, with consent.
- Hiding or removing the unsubscribe link, or ignoring unsubscribe requests.
- Misleading sender names, subject lines or from addresses.
- Phishing, malware, scams, or anything illegal where you or your readers are.
- Content that harasses, threatens or exploits anyone.
Keeping your list healthy
Remove addresses that bounce, and stop emailing people who mark your mail as spam. MailJollof does some of this for you automatically. High bounce or complaint rates hurt everyone who sends with us, so we watch them closely.
What happens if this is broken
We may pause sending for your workspace while we look into it, without notice if your mail is putting other senders at risk. Repeated or serious breaches can lead to your account being closed. Pausing sending does not delete your data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email the account owner before the change takes effect. The version date at the top always shows which one is current.
